Psalm Number 

6

 

¹ O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger, or discipline me in your wrath.

(The Book of Psalms Number 6 verse 1)

Oh God my Father, I am also begging for Your mercy, for a time has come or will soon come when I am going to make an important decision, that might not be according to Your will according to the commandments that You gave me as a point of reference, however in order to protect and preserve what is left of me, it is important that I make plans to move on in life and seek a new beginning. I am sorry that it has to be like this but I cannot take it anymore. I thank You for all the support that You are giving me Amen.



² Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing: O LORD, heal me, for my bones are shaking with terror.


(The Book of Psalms Number 6 verse 2)



Oh God I also plead for Your mercy, my bones are shaking with anxiety and I do not feel totally well. I am passing from a hard time in my marriage and I feel totally depressed. Have mercy on me and my situation my God and Father Amen.


³ My soul also is struck with terror, while you, O LORD-how long?

(The Book of Psalm Number 6 verse 3)

 

Oh God my Father, even my soul trembles with terror before You, for even though I am trying to be nice with my wife and showing her love and care, my soul is not happy for it wishes to start a new life away from both my wife and my daughter, in order to be reunited with You, but it seems like its going to take longer than I expected. God be with me, please. 


⁴ Turn, O LORD, save my life; deliver me for the sake of your steadfast love.

(The Book of Psalm Number 6 verse 4)

 

Oh God my Father spare me from the traps of my enemies hold me in Your arms and bestow on me that Fatherly love that only You can give Amen. Thank You, Jesus.





⁵ For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who can give you praise?

(The Book of Psalm Number 6 verse 5)

Oh God my beloved Father, while being in a state of solitude and spiritual or physical death, we are not in an ideal position to lift our hearts to You in praise, for our state of heaviness weighs us down, however You do not want me to stay in this negative state for a long time. You want me to make an experience of loneliness in order to experience spiritual growth, however we are not made to remain in this state forever, for You created us to live in communion with others, therefore You are able to break the chains of my solitude and give me new life in the community where together we can lift our hearts together in a state of praise, thanksgiving, and worship. Amen.


⁶ I am weary with my moaning: every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. ⁷ My eyes waste away because of grief; they grow weak because of all my foes.

(The Book of Psalm Number 6 verses 6 to 7)

Oh God, my beloved Father, I thank You for having wiped the tears of my eyes and for having listened to my calls of sorrow. I also have shed my share of tears and sorrow, but now I thank You that my period of sorrow at least on one big issue is almost at its end Amen.


⁸ Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping. ⁹ The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD accepts my prayer.

(The Book of Psalm Number 6 verses 8 to 9)

This is also my prayer my God and Father, that all the compulsions negative feelings, depressive moments, moments of anger, depart from me along with any triggers that arouse such feelings so that I can be totally Yours and a worthy servant to others. I also thank You for listening to my prayer.

¹⁰ All my enemies shall be ashamed and struck with terror; they shall turn back, and in a moment be put to shame.

(The Book of Psalm Number 6 verse 10)

In the name of my Lord God and Father, I command all such feelings and thoughts to be cleared from the heart and the deep crevices of my brain, so that I can be free of such drives and compulsions Amen.

Oh God my beloved Father, I would like to end this meditation on Psalm 6 with the following prayer:



Protect me oh God my Father from sin that is always at my door. Clothe me with Your love and kindness, keep me before You. May I be like a child that seeks refuge in Your loving arms Amen. Thank You, God, my Father Amen.

¹ Give ear to my words, O LORD; give heed to my sighing.

(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 1)

Oh God my Father during moments of stress this is also my prayer, however in truth on reflecting I realise that You are so close to me, that even before something happens You already know about it. Moreover, You are always many steps ahead of my situations and are so proactive that You are already providing me with the necessary support resources and care.



² Listen to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you I pray. ³ O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch.

(Book of Psalms Number 5 verses 2 and 3)



Oh God in the morning and in the evening I lift up my prayers to You. We are in constant contact. However, I am still weak in my relationship with You and even with others. I pray that our relationship becomes stronger and that even the state of my spiritual welfare improves as according to Your will Amen.


⁴ For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil will not sojourn with you.


(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 4)



Oh God my Father You are a God of love and mercy, indeed no evil can ever be present in You or even near You, for the evil one cannot stand Your Holy presence. Some people during moments of desperation question why You permitted as they think it to be that hijacks or natural disasters or wars to take place, but You have nothing to do, or have no blame for such negative events, for many take place due to our wrong decisions and according to our own evil intentions and not according to Your will Amen.

⁵ The boastful will not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers.


(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 5)




Oh God my Father, humble and merciful, evil can never stand Your presence, I pray that You purify my soul from all traces of pride and negativity, so that  I can share in Your positive traits Amen.


⁶ You destroy those who speak lies; the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful.


(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 6)



Oh God my Father falsehood can never be found in You, for You are the father of truth and justice, who does everything for our good and not for our downfall Amen.



⁷ But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house, I will bow down toward your holy temple in awe of you.


(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 7) 



Oh God my Father if and when I will appear before You it will not be as a consequence of anything that I had done in life but, as a consequence of Your love for me Amen. Thank You for loving me so much Amen. 



⁸ Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me. 


(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 8)



Oh God my Father, this is also my prayer, lead me in your righteousness for the enemies are launching another attack on me, and I feel I am on the point of breaking down. Please make straight Your ways before me, for I am so emotionally stimulated that I cannot see the way even if it is straight before me. Part of me needs to take the decision and the other part is contrary. I pray that You show me the right  way Amen. 



⁹ For there is no truth in their mouths; their hearts are destruction; their throats are open graves; they flatter with their tongues. 


(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 9) 




Oh God my beloved Father when we let ourselves be dominated by evil, we become a threat to all. No goodness remains in us. Our intents end up being malicous and we end up using such techniques such as lies and flattery in order to get our ways. I pray that You save me from myself, that I may be delivered from ending in such a situation or at least be able to cope in such circumstances Amen. 



¹⁰  Make them bear their guilt, O God: let them fall by their own counsels because of their many transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against you.



(Book of Psalms Number 5 verse 10)



Oh God my beloved Father, if we all had to bear the responsibility  of our actions our lives would be much better than they are at the present. May I walk in the truth because both my positive and my negative actions will act against me. I pray for mercy for my feelings are not always against You my God and Father, but against those around me who are making my life a misery a living hell.


 ¹¹  But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, so that those who love your name may exult in you. ¹² For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover them with favor as with a shield.


(Book of Psalms Number 5 verses 11 to 12)


Oh God my Father, I wish to consider myself along with those who seek refuge in You, for at this time in my life I feel far away from You and close to the ways of the world. However I am convinced that even though I am going through this time of stress, You are still with me and protecting me, even though I am still not free of old sins Amen.





Oh God my beloved Father, while in Your presence, I would like to end the fifth psalm with the following prayer:




Protect me I beg You my God and Father, for the forces of evil have surrounded me. I am with my back to the wall, harassed from all sides. I pray that You protect me from my enemies both within and around me in my inner circles Amen. Mercy oh God my Father, protect me with Your precious blood that You shed at the time of the passion. Anoint me with the power of the Holy Spirit, for the battle will soon be in full swing against me. But You are with me, the cornerstone and fortress of my salvation. Amen. Thank You Jesus
